A lot of people think that the holidays (christmas/new years etc) are the best time of the year. What do you like about them? What is your family's traditions when it comes to Christmas etc. What is your holidays like where you live? What did you get for Christmas this year?
Here in New Zealand, our Christmas is really different to what we see on TV and sing about in carols. We are in the Southern Hemisphere, meaning our Christmas is in the summer! As I got older, Christmas became less about getting presents and more about giving presents and family. Oh, and the FOOD. Our tradition is, we wake up, have breakfast and then open our presents. We then have a huge Christmas lunch and then proceed to spend the rest of the day watching terrible Christmas TV (it's the same every year). For New Years, we usually have a dinner and stay up to watch the new year in. Sometimes we don't do anything, I don't really make a deal over the new year.
For Christmas this year I got a dressing gown, a lamp and Pajamas. All stuff I didn't need. But I got $70, so I bought stuff I needed with that!
